More Details and Promotional Image For Star Trek Movie Prequel Comic

Last month TrekMovie reported that IDW will release a comic book prequel in January for the new Star Trek film from JJ Abrams. Today IDW issued an official announcement related to that book, including a promotional image and some comments from the IDW editor and Star Trek movie co-writer Roberto Orci. The Star Trek trailer hit the Trek world by storm this week, including the contributors to TrekMovie.com. Exclusive Video Interview: Braga & Coto Talk 24 and Enterprise

In 2003 Manny Coto joined the staff for Star Trek Enterprise where where he worked closely with co-creator Brannon Braga for the final two seasons. Now the pair are working together again on 24, which airs a 2-hour prequel movie on FOX tonight (Sunday). In August TrekMovie spoke to the Coto and Braga about 24 and Enterprise. Review – Star Trek: The Original Series (Remastered) Season Three DVD

Season Three of Remastered Star Trek The Original Series finally gets released on DVD Tuesday November 18th. Trek’s third season was a mixed bag at best, but still contained some classic episodes, plus the Remastered process added some new moments to the cash-strapped final season. The DVD set also has some new interesting brand new special features.


New Star Trek Trailer Online + Official Site Revamped [UPDATE: new TV Spot + Foreign Versions]

The wait is over. The new theatrical trailer for the new Star Trek movie is now officially online, with an exclusive at Apple Trailers, including HD. If you haven’t seen it yet, this is the second best way besides seeing it onscreen. In addition the official site for the Star Trek movie has been re-launched with a new look and some hidden features. UPDATE: There is also a new TV spot and some foreign dubbed versions.


First Look At New TOS Remastered Promo

The new trailer for the Star Trek movie will be online shortly, but CBS wants to remind people that the Original is still out there. CBS is still airing Star Trek Remastered in syndication. Next month they will be releasing a new fun light-hearted promo to stations, but they sent it over to TrekMovie this morning for a first look, check it out below.


Star Trek The Exhibition Opens In Phoenix – Full Report w/ Pictures & Video

Today, Star Trek: The Exhibition opened its second engagement in the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix, Arizona to plenty of eager fans. TrekMovie got an exclusive first look at the impressive traveling Trek exhibit, including being shown around by Mike and Denise Okuda. With tons of original costumes, prop replicas, and set recreations, fans and non-fans alike are sure to be engaged by this very well put together show.

Believe it or not, there is other genre news outside of Star Trek, notably the release of new posters and a trailer for Watchmen. Star Trek Trailer Hits The Net [UPDATED]

The trailer for the new Star Trek movie is in theaters and will be online at the official site in HD on Monday morning. However that is just not good enough for some folks who just can’t seem to wait. As noted in the TrekMovie.com review of the trailer, it is meant to seen on the big screen for the first time, or at least on the small screen in HD on Monday. UPDATE: Official trailer online.

Trailer Update: Star Trek Preview Showing At Most Theaters

In the wee hours of Friday morning we first got wind that some fans were not catching the Trek trailer their viewing of Quantum of Solace. Although it is clear that the trailer is showing at theaters throughout North America, TrekMovie estimates around one out of four (maybe as many as one out of three) screenings does not show the Trek trailer. TrekMovie has discussed this with Paramount and may have an explanation.
