Today Star Trek sequel co-writer and producer Roberto Orci has given an update on plans for the script for the movie planned for a Summer 2012 release. Orci says that the writing team plan on turning it in late March. More details below. Universal has released a new TV spot for director Jon Favreau’s “Cowboys & Aliens”. The film’s script was written by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof. This TV spot will air during Super Bowl XLV, but has hit the web early. Click over the jump to watch it.
Keeping with tradition, J.J. Abrams’ latest film “Super 8” is veiled in secrecy. The Steven Spielberg-produced project is currently in post-production and the most concrete bit of information we have on it is that it’ll hit theaters on June 10, 2011. Paramount will debut a new teaser trailer during today’s Super Bowl and ahead of its release, an online advertisement has been uncovered. Update: The Super Bowl TV spot has been released. Gene Roddenberry’s original pitch for “Star Trek” has surfaced online. The outline is dated March 11, 1964 — more than two years before the show hit television — and the series went through several changes before it ultimately made its way to TV screens. Click over the jump for the details.
