UPDATED: It’s a Christmas Miracle. The brand new Empire Magazine has a cover story from a Star Trek Into Darkness set visit including interviews with JJ Abrams and some of the cast. They also have some brand new exclusive images. TrekMovie has some excerpts of Abrams, Cumberbatch and Pine giving more details (and spoilers) on the film and its villain. A few weeks ago TrekMovie reported on the release of the official synopsis for Star Trek Into Darkness. As part of their recent promotional push for the film, Paramount has issued a new "one sheet" summary of the film with more info, and notably a new (and different) synopsis for the film. See what is new and different below but warning there are spoilers.

The teaser trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness ‘has all sorts of interesting things to ponder for Trek fans looking for insights into the movie. Earlier today Paramount took their Star Trek Into Darkness promotional tour to London where Brit stars Alice Eve and Bendedict Cumberbatch previewed the movie prologue and had a Q&A with the press, joined by producer Bryan Burk. There were some new details revealed, including a target run time for the movie and more information about Eve and Cumberbatch’s characters. One of the things shown yesterday at the Bad Robot visit was the second Star Trek Into Darkness trailer (which will premiere with non-IMAX screening of The Hobbit this weekend). Today Star Trek Into Darkness producer/director JJ Abrams invited the press (including TrekMovie) to visit Bad Robot HQ in Santa Monica, CA. While there the media could chat with folks behind and in front of the camera as well as get a closer look at elements of the movie. As reported first by TrekMovie, the second (and longer) trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness will be showing next weekend. However, that trailer previewed today at the "Butt-Numb-A-Thon" 24 hour movie event in Austin, Texas. The first descriptions of that are now showing up. See below (but beware of spoilers).
