Star Trek Live In Concert Series Headed To Australia

Earlier this summer we reported on the US debut of ‘Star Trek Live In Concert’ series of orchestral performances of the music of Star Trek shown along with screenings of JJ Abrams Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. Simon Pegg was the headliner for Saturday and appeared before a packed and enthusiastic Star Trek Las Vegas Con crowd. The new Scotty offered a few details on the production of the new Star Trek movie and also opined quite a bit about what he would like to see for the future of Star Trek on film and TV, along with talking a lot about his character.  Another new universe star at the con on Saturday was Peter Weller, who spent much of his time talking about ancient Rome and Robocop and speaking French, but he got around to talking some Trek too. ‘Star Trek Live In Concert’ With Giacchino This Wkd In Houston + Next Wkd At SDCC + More Cities

This weekend composer Michael Giacchino brings his “Star Trek Live in Concert” screenings of Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness with a full orchestra to the USA, performing with the Houston Symphony. Star Trek Into Darkness Shut Out At Saturn Awards – TNG Wins For Blu-ray

Thursday night in Burbank was the last stop in awards season, with the 40th Saturn Awards – honoring the best in science fiction and fantasy.
