Official Rules Announced To Win Tickets To STAR TREK BEYOND Fan Event

The second trailer for Star Trek Beyond will premiere at a special fan event at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on May 20th. Today, Paramount released the official rules for a video contest that will allow fans to show the world “How you Go Beyond as a Star Trek fan”, including 5 grand prizes that include airfare and a 2-night hotel stay in LA for the event.

Trek Fan and Pro Photographer Kickstarting Star Trek Portraits Book and Exhibition

Through his work, portrait photographer and long-time Star Trek fan Rory Lewis has had the opportunity to direct and shoot portraits of many of his icons, including Sir Patrick Stewart and William Shatner. Now, in celebration of Star Trek’s 50th anniversary year, Lewis is looking to expand his collection of Star Trek cast portraits with plans for a printed book and a traveling exhibition.






Winners Announced for ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Writing Contest

CBS have announced the winners of the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds writing contest. The 10 Grand Prize winners, chosen from hundreds of submissions, will each receive a $1000 prize, and their stories will be included in the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 2016 Edition Anthology, to be published in digital first format this year. The two First Prize winners will each receive a free publishing package from Archway Publishing valued at approximately $5,000 to publish a book on a subject other than Star Trek.



BREAKING: The New Star Trek TV Show Will Be Set Post-Undiscovered Country, Pre-TNG

CBS’s new Star Trek television series, which will be aired exclusively on the network’s new online streaming platform All Access, is rumored to be set in the time period between the original series film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, BirthMoviesDeath is reporting. What’s more: it won’t be set in the JJ-verse timeline.


Simon Pegg: Star Trek Beyond Won’t Be A Rehash of Trek’s “Greatest Hits”

Simon Pegg spoke to reporters at CinemaCon Monday night about the tone of Star Trek Beyond, how it will create its own stories and canon while still fitting into the franchise’s 50 year history, and how the story’s villain, played by Idris Elba, will be ostentatious and interesting. Iranian Actress Shohreh Aghdashloo Joins Star Trek Beyond as Film Goes Back for Reshoots

Deadline is reporting today that Oscar nominated and Emmy winning Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo has joined Star Trek Beyond in the role of the High Command of the Federation. With the announcement also comes official word that Beyond will be undergoing reshoots next week, although the film is still on track for a July 22 release.
