Calgary Bus Shelters and Transporter App Let You Beam Up

In two weeks The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo will feature a Star Trek: The Next Generation reunion and to promote that event they have erected "Transporter Room" bus shelters around Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They have also released a special app that actually makes these transporter rooms really work (kind of). More details below. Watch Brent Spiner In ‘Fresh Hell’ Season 2, Episode 1

The second season of the comedy webseries Fresh Hell starring Star Trek: TNG’s Brent Spiner has arrived. In the first episode Spiner returns to the role of an alternative version of himself who is struggling with life after "the incident." You never know surprises can happen as "Brent" tries to figure out how he can scrape together the money to start a new career teaching porn stars how to act. Watch it below.




Denise Crosby: I Was Miserable On Star Trek TNG

Actress Denise Crosby has the unique distinction of being the first actor to ask to leave the main cast of a Trek series when she walked away before finishing the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. She later returned for some guest spots and even did a couple of Star Trek "Trekkies" documentaries so she never fully left Star Trek behind, but in a new interview Crosby says that she has no regrets and that she was "miserable" in that first season of TNG.

Quinto Returning To ‘American Horror Story’ + deLancie To Guest On ‘Secret Circle’

A couple of Star Trek luminaries are set to return to TV screens (in addition to Leonard Nimoy heading to The Big Bang Theory). First up, Star Trek's new Spock Zachary Quinto will be returning for the second season of American Horror Story. Plus John deLancie (aka Q) is set for a guest spot on the CW show about witches, The Secret Circle.



Details and Cover From Star Trek: TNG/Doctor Who ‘Assimilation2‘ Crossover Comic

Today the BBC, CBS and IDW (enough acronyms?) made official what was leaked last week…the Star Trek and Doctor Who franchises are headed for a mashup collision in a new comic book. We now have new details (and the first cover) from the the "Assimiliation2" comics which will tell the tale of how the crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation and the Doctor will face off against the Borg and the Cybermen.



CBS: All 7 Seaons Of Star Trek: TNG On Blu-ray By 2015 + ‘Consdering’ Other Series + Watch S1 Trailer

The the four-episode sampler “Star Trek: The Next Generation – The Next Level" Blu-ray has hit the stores, but there is more to come for TNG on HD. The set includes a trailer for the first season on Blu-ray and you can watch that below, plus some new details on when you will be able to pick up more seasons.




Watch Patrick Stewart & Liam Neeson Preside Over Battle Of Star Trek v Star Wars Action Figures

Over the weekend there was a meeting of the franchises on the BBC’s The Graham Norton Show. Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Sir Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson were both guests and at one point Norton decided to compare their respective interactive toys. First Impressions of Star Trek: The Next Generation – The Next Level on Blu-ray

The "Star Trek: The Next Generation – The Next Level" sampler disc comes out on January 31st and TrekMovie got an early review copy. Closer to release, our home video editor Matt Wright will be doing a more detailed review with more technical stuff, but I wanted to share my initial thoughts on this major project in the world of Star Trek.
