Happy Birthday Leonard Nimoy

Today, Leonard Nimoy is 78.  His thoughtfulness and dedication to his art is a big reason for the popularity of Spock.  He has entertained Star Trek fans for more than 40 years, creating a cultural icon with a character we are all delighted to see again on the big screen this year.  However, his career is more than Spock, starting nearly 60 years ago.  TrekMovie sends its best wishes to Leonard on his birthday with this collection of some of his performances during his many decades as an entertainer. 


More Details and Video Preview From Family Guy Star Trek: TNG Episode – Airing Sunday

This Sunday FOX airs the Family Guy episode “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven" featuring all the stars of The Next Generation playing themselves. Today FOX released a preview video for the episode, including comments from show creator (and huge Trekkie) Seth MacFarlane. There are also more details on the episode from FG producer David Goodman. MTV Shows Behind-The-Scenes Star Trek ‘Featurette’ [UPDATED: w/ Kelvin Bridge Shot?]

On tonight’s MTV Spoilers show there were previews and exclusive peeks from a number of Summer tent pole movies, including the new Star Trek film. Official ST09 Site Update: Check Out New ‘Panoramas’ Inside The New USS Enterprise

The official site for the new Star Trek movie has just added a brand new ‘PANORAMA’ feature that gives you interactive 360 degree views of sections of the USS Enterprise. As of now you can choose to get a close look at two different corridors on the ship, including ‘zoom in’ on various control panels, details and screen shots below.

Paramount To Show Star Trek ‘Sneak Peek’ At WonderCon

They skipped San Diego Comic Con last summer and New York Comic Con last week, but Paramount is bringing a Star Trek panel to WonderCon in San Francisco in just over two weeks. Today the full schedule for WonderCon was announced and included is a ‘sneak peek’ and a ‘special guest’ from the new Star Trek movie. There are other Trek related panels as well, including one with yours truly.
