QMx Releases Cool Retro-style Star Trek 2009 Movie Poster Set

Today Quantum Mechanix has announced their first set of lithographs prints from the recent Star Trek movie. The first set of four prints will be based on early poster design concepts, as seen in the recent "Star Trek: The Art of the Film" book. The posters are available to buy now and will also be available at San Diego Comic Con. More details and images below.

Star Trek Author Vonda McIntyre Reveals How Sulu Got His First Name

Back in 1981 author Vonda N McIntyre wrote the first original Star Trek novel for Pocket Books, "The Entropy Effect", and then went on to write a number of other Trek books and movie adaptations. Collectors Pick Up Good Deals At Julien’s Star Trek Auction

The second of this summer’s three big Star Trek auctions happened Sunday. The Julien’s auction was different in that it had fewer actual props and costumes and was mostly the Gene and Majel Roddenberry estate sale, along with a number of items from William Shatner. Overall, the auctions was a success for collectors because of reasonable prices, including the few 2009 Star Trek movie items.






The Collective: Star Trek Japanese Imports Coming – Dragon 12″ TNG Figures + TOS Bearbricks

This summer there are a few interesting Japanese imports coming that are of interest to Star Trek collectors. First up, Dragon Models have a line of Star Trek: The Next Generation 12" cloth figures coming this month. And in September, collectors can pick up MediCom Bearbrick figures that have been Trek-ified. More details below.  




VIDEO: Rod Roddenberry Tours Julien’s Star Trek Auction

On Sunday June 27th Julien’s will be holding a Star Trek Auction at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas with items from the Roddenberry estate, plus additional items from William Shatner and a collection of costumes and props from the Star Trek 2009 movie. All of the lots are now on display in Las Vegas, and there is a new video of Rod Roddenberry touring the Roddenberry estate collection. See that and more info below.
