Watch: Daily Show & Colbert Report Go Star Trek (Again) + Futurama Too

Colbert and Stewart are Trekking again. Over the last couple of nights both of Comedy Central’s late night shows have thrown out Star Trek references. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart seems to have Wrath of Khan on their mind, while the Colbert Report sees the president as a Vulcan. Watch the clips below (if you live in the USA). New Trailer + Promo Images For Star Trek: TNG Theater Screenings In July

On July 23rd, just one day before the release of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation on Blu-ray, theaters across the USA will be showing special screenings of two HD episodes of TNG along with bonus materials from the new set. Pine & Kurtzman Talk Star Trek Sequel Villain + Pix & Video From People Like Us Premiere

Watch: Entire 5 Star Trek TV Captains Panel From Philadelphia Comic Con

A couple of weekends ago, all five Star Trek TV captains appeared together at a convention, at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. For the first time ever, William Shatner, Sir Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula were on the same stage together. Watch the full thing (almost one hour) below.

Watch: Malcolm McDowell Says He Did Trekkies A Favor By Killing Kirk

In 1994 actor Malcolm McDowell had the dubious distinction of being the actor to play the man who killed Capt. James T. Kirk in the movie Star Trek: Generations. He has been getting an earful about that from Trekkies for the last two decades, but at a recent event he fought back saying that he did Trekkies a favor. He also had some choice things to say about his Generations co-star Sir Patrick Stewart and opined about JJ Abrams as well. Watch his Trek rant below.


Lindelof Talks Star Trek Sequel’s ‘Nuanced’ Antagonist + Pine Talks Story vs FX

Star Trek & Shatner Nominated For TCA Awards + Wheaton & Shatner Win Audie Awards

There’s a few bits of Star Trek-related award news today. First up the original Star Trek series was nominated (again) for a Television Critics Association Award, as was William Shatner. And Bill won an award for his latest audio book, as did Wil Wheaton. And new Star Trek movie star Benedict Cumberbatch picked up another award nomination.

Star Trek TNG HD Screenings Theater List Announced + Amazon Lowers Blu-ray Pre-Order Price

Last month we reported that there will be a special theater screenings of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes in HD on July 23rd (promoting the release of the Season 1 Blu-ray on July 24th). We now have the list of theaters and more details on the event. Tickets go on sale on Friday June 8th (but StarTrek.com registered members can buy today).
