Damon Lindelof & Zachary Quinto Respond To Star Trek Sequel Rumor Reports + Potential Weller Role Detail

Yesterday was a big news day for the new Star Trek sequel. Today we have some follow-up reports, including Zachary Quinto and co-writer/producer Damon Lindelof’s reactions to rumors about the Star Trek villain. Star Trek Sequel Stars Havent Seen Script + Charity Event Photos w/ Quinto, Saldana, Cho, Yelchin, & Eve

The Star Trek sequel starts shooting next month and the team is busy casting, but details on the film are still being kept under wraps. At a gala event last Thursday, the returning Star Trek stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and (new star) Alice Eve joined producer/director JJ Abrams at a charity event in Beverly Hills, where some revealed they still haven’t seen the sequel script. Star Trek sequel producer/director JJ Abrams has one last thing to get off his desk and that is the release of Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol on December 21st. Also returning for the fourth Mission is Star Trek’s new Scotty Simon Pegg, reprising his role as Benji the tech. Paramount has released a featurette and clip with Pegg. Quinto Gearing Up For ‘Imminent’ Star Trek Sequel (& Eyebrow Shaving)

On Friday Zachary Quinto’s new movie Margin Call opens and the actor says that after he finishes up his latest publicity trip he is headed back to LA to prep for the Star Trek sequel which he says is "imminent." The last week brings more business deal news from the team behind the last and next Star Trek movie. Writer/producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have sold a couple more pilots for the next seasons, and JJ Abrams has added another film to his future schedule (after the Star Trek sequel).

Star Trek fans are anxious for things to get started on the Star Trek sequel, but apparently we are not alone.
